Also known as vitamin B2.   Riboflavin works with other B vitamins and is important for body growth, red blood cell production and helping with the release of energy coming from carbohydrates.  B2 is not stored in the body so it must be replenished every day from a diet of dairy products, eggs, green leafy vegetables, lean meats, beans, milk and nuts.   Many breads and cereals are often fortified with riboflavin.
